SR-16 drum machine help!!

I am using a sr-16 drum machine and using cakewalk pro audio 8. My problem is, when i send midi to cakewalk, I only can get one sound for each pad. One bass drum sound, one snare sound and so on. How can I get more sounds for each pad or each midi note?
