: : Is there any software that will allow me to increase the overall volume of a midi file? I'm having trouble hearing midi files on some of my mobile devices (palm, cell, etc.) even with the volume at max. Please help~ Thanks in advance.

: Any MIDI sequencer can do what you want (the overall volume of each track is set with controller 7, maximum value being 127), while the 'velocity' of each note can also be maxed out at 127. There are several freeware and shareware sequencing programs listed on http://download.cnet.com/ none of which I've tried - I use Cakewalk. Massiva has a good reputation, I think, and user comments on the free Quartz AudioMaster are positive too.
Thanks. I've tried various sequencers, but as you've stated, the max is 127. Even at max, I can't hear some of my midi files, while others are very loud. I tried most of the free/shareware at download.com; none of which will increase the amplitude of the midi file. The closest I found was Beatnik, but it won't allow me to save as midi. *sigh* I guess I'm outta luck...
