though schematics are for QS8.1, not QS8. The former
has a 16 pin flat cable to the LCD, and is supplied with -5 volts, I don't find any -5 volts going to
the QS8 LCD. Either it isn't there, or I burnt a
trace or something. The QS8 flat cable has 14 pins.
Just to clarify, the QS8 runs fine
as long as the LCD card isn't plugged in.
Service manual is a help, thanks again!
