You probably have more than one serial port, is the driver set to the right one?
Have you tried both speed settings for PC in the global menu of your QS,(not all serial ports can handle the fast one)?
Restart the QS after the puter has started.
Are you sure you got the right cable, and not a ps2 mouse converter cable?
You might want to try one of rolands serial drivers instead, they seem more reliable.
