: If either case is true then your hearing the GM sound bank inside you SoundBlaster/other card. The sounds inside your keys are not transmitted through MIDI, only digital references.
: Not sure if that is what you are asking though; if so then your next step is a sound card w/ some audio in's. The sounds within the Alesis can only be recorded through the stereo outs.
